Beautiful Barry holds presentation night for photography competition winners

Beautiful Barry recently held our first photo competition awards presentation following the competition which ran on their facebook group.

Beautiful Barry was created by members of The Dock Incinerator Action Group, who decided they wanted to come together in a constructive and positive way to make the town a bit more Beautiful in every way.

The competition received over 200 entries and the winners were chosen by public vote.

On Tuesday 5th June, the group held a presentation evening at Cariad Cafe Bar on the Parade in Barry to recognise the winners.

Congratulations to Jack Hortop winner of the teenage category, who was also announced the overall winner last night by a team of judges including Rhian Lees of Pride in Barry, Councilor Leighton Rowlands Mayor of the Vale, Barrie Dyer Chairmen of The Round Table, Jane Hutt AM and Cariad Cafe owner Julian.

Beautiful Barry said “All the entries were incredible and we were shocked by the response. We would like to thank Julian for his kind generosity of hosting the evening at Cariad Cafe Bar and donated Prizes.”

You can find out more about the group here.
