Following the vandalism at the Barry Tourist Railway recently, the staff have been overwhelmed and truly touched by the many messages of support and offers of help.
In a quote on their Facebook page Managing Director John Buxton said ‘We have therefore decided to stage a ‘Community Day’ on Monday 28th August for local people’
‘Bring along a paintbrush or a set of loppers if you’d like to assist us on the day, or just bring yourself if you’d like to see what goes on behind the scenes at the Railway’, added John.
The group are organizing a free Barbeque for those who turn up at our Plymouth Road Site (CF62 5TY) on Bank Holiday Monday between 12.00 – 16.00hrs and heritage trains will be running for those who’d like to explore the rest of the railway.
