Tomorrow (Wednesday 8th August), Bro Radio will broadcast live from the Vale of Glamorgan Show 2018.
The team will be on stage in the Countryside Marque, which is run by Glamorgan Smallholders from 7am – 6pm, bringing you the atmosphere, interviews and information directly from the show, sponsored by Cardiff and Vale College.
Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) is one of the largest colleges in the country – with over 20,000 students each year and a large staff team of industry experts, sector specialists and knowledgeable and experienced support teams. Find out about courses starting this September via www.cavc.ac.uk
Glamorgan Smallholders is a networking group for smallholders in the Rural Vale, set up in 2017. The group welcomes everyone with an interest in farming and food to attend their meetings. Find out more via Facebook.
Join Gareth Knight from 7am for Bro Radio Breakfast, as he wakes up the show talking to the stallholders and competitors setting up for the day, before the official opening of the Glamorgan Smallholders marque at 9am by local Author Belinda Bauer, and her side kick Stephen Lamb.
From 10am, join Geoff Selby to learn more about those within the Glamorgan Smallholders marque including Hilside Beef, Hay Brecon Farmers, Swanbridge Porkers, Kennixston Sheep, Natalie Hepburn Soaps, Fablas Ice-Cream, Cowbridge Fruit and Veg and John Harrison Sheep, plus our reporter Simon Field will be on the showground bringing you all of the sights and sounds of the Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show.
From 12pm join Rhys Edwards where he’ll be speaking to local politicians about their involvement in the show and farming locally, as well as competition results live from the showground.
From 3pm, join Nathan Spackman as he wraps up the 2018 Vale of Glamorgan show discussing the future of the show and farming in the Vale of Glamorgan.
