Choirs bring 2017 Barry Arts Festival to an end

Barry music lovers will have another opportunity to enjoy themselves this weekend as Bristol-based Gospel Choir, Joyful Spirit, and Serenata Ladies Choir, from Magor in Gwent, bring the curtain down on the 2017 Barry Arts Festival season.

The concert, on Saturday 7th October, begins at 7:30pm at St Mary’s Church, Holton Road, Barry.

Local favourite Tim Reynolds, who has starred in shows with Pukka, Everyman, Superstars and the Concept Players will compere the evening and sing.

Barry Arts Festival organizer, Dot Connell, said:

“We are looking forward to welcoming Joyful Spirit and Serenata choirs to Barry this weekend and finishing our season this year with the feel-good sounds of Stevie Wonder, Carole King, songs from the shows and of course some gospel rhythms and harmonies to put a smile on everybody’s face”.

Tickets are £10 on the door or phone 07982319456 to reserve your seat. Tickets can also be bought online at

Barry Arts Festival would like to thank sponsors Barry Town Council and Newydd Housing for their contribution to this year’s events.
