Driving instructors come together to support Big Learner Relay for Children in Need

A group of local driving instructors have come together to support the Big Learner Relay for Children in Need.

Now in its fifth year, the big learner relay features driving instructors and pupils across the country all getting together to raise money for Children in Need by relaying a top box from one driving lesson to another around England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales for the 2 weeks leading up to Children in Need.

This year Cardiff and Barry instructors Lubos (Luby’s driving school) Dan (flying colours school of motoring) and Krista (Magnet driving school) have been honoured with the lead car roles, bringing the spotty relay from Cardiff east to Barry, then onto Culverhouse Cross. From here it will travel to Pontypridd then onto Merthyr on November 14th 2018.

Members of the public are asked to join the relay at four locations on November 14th or see the spotty convoy on route. The team will be at the following locations and advise the public to arrive 30 minutes before to ensure you don’t miss the team.

Cardiff easy park and ride (12pm)
Barry old Butlins car park (1pm)
Tesco Culverhouse Cross (2pm)
Sainsbury’s Pontypridd (3pm)

Local businesses and the public are asked to ‘Sign a spot’ to raise money for Children in Need or Text ‘BEEP85’ & your donation amount to 70070.
