Work has started on a development of 149 new homes in Llantwit Major – and the first properties are now on sale.
Persimmon Homes has made a start on its long-awaited scheme off the town’s High Street. The development is called Heritage Gate.
The first houses have now been released onto the market and are available to buy from Chris Davies Qualified Estate Agents on East Street.
The first residents are expected to move in before the end of the year.
Victoria Williams, sales director at Persimmon Homes East Wales, said: “We are delighted to have launched this fantastic new development in Llantwit Major.
“People have been waiting for this development for a long time. Llantwit Major was recently voted the second most desirable place to live in Wales but the number of new homes being built has been extremely limited.
“We are expecting huge demand and we’d be delighted to show people the options we have available.”
Living at Heritage Gate means everything you need for day-to-day living is close to hand, including independent shops and supermarkets. Cardiff is just 18 miles away with its wealth of shops, entertainment and amenities.
First time buyers are eligible to use the Government’s Help to Buy – Wales scheme, which means purchasers may only need a deposit of five per cent. The Government steps in with a 20 per cent equity loan, leaving a 75 per cent mortgage.
Persimmon staff will be situated in Chris Davies Qualified Estate Agents on Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm, and on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
