Good Wash Company and Llamau launch new partnership to mark World Homelessness Day

This World Homelessness Day (10th October), luxury and ethical Welsh wash brand, The Good Wash Company, announced a new partnership with homelessness charity, Llamau, raising funds to help young people facing homelessness in Wales this Christmas.

The Good Wash Company is a Welsh social enterprise which gives 100% of its profits to local causes working to improve the lives of people and animals in Wales. The Good Wash Company’s cruelty free products are sourced from natural ingredients, boasting an abundance of natural health benefits.

Founded by socially conscious entrepreneurs Mandy Powell and Kelly Davies, the purpose of the Good Wash Company is to help support those in need, and enable people in their communities and animals in their environment to improve their lives for the better.

Mandy is a former Welsh International Hockey and Touch Rugby Player with over a decade of experience working as UK Business & Marketing Manager for a large US corporate, and Kelly is a former Wales and Professional Footballer and award-winning Social Entrepreneur.  Their vision is to raise £3 million over the next three years to improve the lives of people and animals in Wales.

Llamau’s mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women in Wales. Llamau believes that ending homelessness means more than providing shelter. The charity works across Wales to prevent homelessness, provide safe accommodation and support people to leave homelessness behind for good. Llamau’s holistic range of services include supported housing, including women-only accommodation, tenancy support, refuges for women and children, family mediation, housing and welfare advice, outreach for 14 – 19 year olds, and prevocational learning and training. Last year, Llamau supported 8914 young people, women and children to leave homelessness behind.

Launched on World Homelessness Day (10th October) and leading up until Christmas day, The Good Wash Company will be donating 100% of profit from all website sales to Llamau when customers use a unique promotional code GWSAFENIGHTS. The aim of the partnership is to raise enough money to pay for a month’s worth of safe nights for a homeless young person in Wales. Products can be purchased via The Good Wash Company website.

Jenna Lewis, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Llamau, said;

“We are so excited to be working with The Good Wash Company to help end homelessness and change futures in Wales this Christmas. We are delighted to be partnering with a company which shares our passion and drive for helping the young people and women we support to rebuild their futures and leave homelessness behind for good.”

Mandy Powell, Founder at The Good Wash Company, said;

We are delighted to be launching this campaign on World Homelessness Day in partnership with Llamau. We want to make a real difference to lives this Christmas. Through the support of local businesses and consumer purchases, we will support many vulnerable young adults into safe houses and help make a real difference to their lives, one wash a time.
