Jane Hutt supports Safe Foundation

On Saturday August 19th, Jane Hutt AM was pleased to support the Safe Foundation who brightened the Knap Gardens at a family event.  They pitched their stands alongside the Richard Taylor Skate Park event with activities for children and a display of crafts from African and India supporting their partnership projects.

Jane said: ‘It was wonderful to meet Safe volunteers at the Knap Gardens to support their pioneering work across the world. Particularly important to welcome Safe as we remember their founding Director Lucy Dickenson, who lost her life 5 years ago. The bench dedicated to her memory is nearby on the Knap causeway.’

The SAFE Foundation is a registered charity, founded by Lucy Dickenson and a small group of trustees in 2006 to assist in the provision of grants of money and materials that contribute to poverty relief in developing countries. SAFE assists locally led projects often unable to access mainstream aid due to their size, location or status in their local environments.
