Could you read local news on Bro Radio?

The news is a vital part of Bro Radio’s output, with the station being one of the top sources for local news in the Vale of Glamorgan.

We are looking for local people, with a few spare hours a week to help us increase our local news service. By volunteering at Bro Radio you’ll learn new skills, meet new people and build confidence, all of which can help increase employability and your overall wellbeing.

Interested individuals will be required to source reliable local news stories and turn these into engaging news bulletins that will be broadcast on air and online. Experience in radio or journalism is not necessary as full training will be provided.

The role will require participants to be available for one day each week for up to 5 hours, however, the time spent on this role is flexible around each volunteers availability.
