Llantwit and Cowbridge Lions’ £500 gift for ‘Big Wrap’ appeal

Llantwit Major and Cowbridge Lions have donated £500 to support this year’s Big Wrap appeal which aims to ensure disadvantaged youngsters receive a Christmas present.

President Byron Evans said: “The Lions fundraise all year round to support local causes and we are very pleased to be supporting this worthwhile appeal again this year.

“The Big Wrap provides gifts to children in the Vale who are at risk of receiving nothing or very little for Christmas and we hope this donation will help ensure every child in the Vale can wake up to a Christmas present this year.”

The Big Wrap coordinator Susan Lloyd-Selby said: “The Big Wrap relies entirely on donations and we are very grateful to the Llantwit Major and Cowbridge Lions for their continued support.

“We believe that every child should know the joy of Christmas and this donation will help ensure that children and young people across the Vale feel loved and supported.”

The appeal would be grateful for donations of new toys and gifts for children and young people up to the age of 19. Donations can be taken to the ReStore furniture shop in Thompson St, Barry, Tuesday to Saturday 10am-5pm. For more information, email bigwrap@yahoo.co.uk.
