Magician’s Theater Raised £300 For Penarth’s Under 16’s Rugby Team At Wale’s Smallest Theater

The Small Space theatre held a successful fundraiser for Penarth’s under 16’s rugby team ahead of their upcoming tour.

Owners and magicians, Jasper Blakeley and Bryan Gunton, welcomed Vale of Glamorgan Mayor, Cllr Janice Charles and audience members to the theatre on Thursday March 15 for a fundraising event.

Measuring only 16ft x 9ft, the theatre opened on February 2 this year, and can host 20 audience members and holds regular magician shows, guest performers, music events and comedy shows.

Vale of Glamorgan Mayor, Cllr Janice Charles, attended an event at the Magician’s Theatre to raise money for a junior Penarth rugby team tour.

Vale of Glamorgan Mayor, Cllr Charles said: “The Small Space theatre is a wonderful community event and should be supported and encouraged in the Vale. I am very pleased to have attended the event in aid of Penarth rugby team and wish them good luck on their tour.”

Jasper said: “We raised £300 on the night and a total over almost £11,000 over the past year, to help fund the rugby tour for the Penarth under 16’s team. My son is in the team and we are really looking forward to the tour.

“The reaction from traders and audience members has been great, and our April events have already sold out. People have come as far as Newport, Bristol, to see the shows, we could not have asked for a better reaction.”
