Police appeal for information on assault at Barry Rugby Football Club

South Wales Police are investigating an assault which took place in Barry Rugby Football Club, yesterday, September 30.

Police were called to the club on Merthyr Dyfan Road shortly before 5.40pm with reports of a disturbance.

Local residents told Bro Radio how they saw at least four police vehicles and an ambulance attend the club, located off Merthyr Dyfan Road

A 41-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is in custody.

A 47-year-old man was taken to University Hospital of Wales for treatment and a 28-year-old local man sustained minor injuries.
