Police in Penarth are investigating a burglary which took place in the early hours of Wednesday March 28th when a large quantity of meat was stolen from the Barons Court public house on Penarth Road.
Two men gained access to a cold store at the premises and removed a large quantity of gammon, beef, turkey and bacon as well as confectionary including boxes of Flake. The estimated value of the theft Is in excess of £1,000.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of the Barons Court between 4.00am and 5.00am on Wednesday morning.
Officers also want to hear from anyone who may have been offered any meat for sale and warn the public that it may not have been stored appropriately and could be for consumption.
