Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a man shortly before his death in Southerndown

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a man shortly before his death.

Emergency services were called to Southerndown, Vale of Glamorgan, on November 12 at around 2pm, with a report of a man unconscious at the bottom of the cliffs.

The 45-year-old man from Porthcawl was pronounced dead at the scene and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

His next of kin and HM Coroner have been informed.

Police are investigating the death on behalf of the coroner and are appealing for anyone who may have seen a man on Southerndown beach on Nov 12 between 12pm and 2pm to get in contact with South Wales Police.

The man is described as white, of thin build with long curly hair and a beard. He was wearing a blue polo shirt, black jacket, jeans and white trainers. He was also carrying an orange shopping bag.
