Travel firm nominated for British Travel Awards 2018

Travel firm Edwards Coaches has announced its nomination for the British Travel Awards 2018.

The company which celebrated 93 years in business has been nominated for the first time in the Best Holiday Coach Company (large) category with voting opening on July 2nd and closing on September 30th.

Edwards Coaches ltd. was established in 1925 as a family run and owned business, which is now in its 5th generation, taking 80,000 passengers on coach holidays every year, whilst operating 300 vehicles daily and employing over 700 staff.

The nomination follows on from their recent win at the Group Travel Awards earlier this month for Best Coach Operator. Over the years they have won many prestigious awards from the likes of Route One magazine, National Coach Tourism and UK Coach Rally.

The British Travel Awards is the largest consumer voted awards in the travel industry with almost 360,000 travellers casting their vote in 2017. The organisation expects this number to rise during 2018’s voting period.

Managing Director Jason Edwards said: ‘We are delighted to have been nominated in The British Travel Awards, especially in the large category as it highlights our growth as a business. This nomination reflects the hard work that our staff put in every day to ensure that our customers receive the best experience possible from the moment they book to the moment they return from their holiday.’

Those wishing to vote can register via the British Travel Awards’ website at when voting goes live on Monday July 2nd.
