Bro Radio is the local radio station serving the Vale of Glamorgan and as we continue to develop our FM service and coverage we are looking to increase the number of volunteers involved on air and behind the scenes at the station.

No matter your age, background or ability we have we have a wide range of roles both on air and behind the scenes, best of all there is no experience necessary as full training will be provided.

Currently Bro Radio is able to offer the following voluntary roles:

On air Presenters:

We are always looking for new presenters to join Bro Radio and add to the wide range of shows and voices heard on the station. We are currently looking for the right person to join our existing daytime presentation team, you'll need to be available a few days a week but will be given the opportunity to present your own regular programme. We are also looking for exciting new ideas for our evening and weekend programming.

Whether you’re available everyday to join our Daytime team or have a few hours spare to create a specialist show then we’d love to hear from you.

Content /Social Media Producer:

We are looking to build a team of content producers who can support our on air team. You’ll work behind the scenes with our Operations Director, Sales and Presentation team to develop local content that’s relevant to our listeners.

You’ll help us to turn local news stories into interviews and features, as well as researching local events, develop competition and promotional pieces, all whilst meeting new people, learning new skills and building your confidence. You'll also work with our presenter to turn on air items into social media content.

This is an ideal first step into radio, with no experience necessary.

News Reader/Reporter:

Bro Radio prides itself on delivering quality local news seven days a week and as we continue to develop our news service we are looking to increase the number of news readers and reporters at the station.

This role focuses on sourcing, fact checking, developing and producing local news stories to create on air, online and social media content relevant to our listeners.

All you need for this role is some local knowledge as full training is provided.
