The Cardiff Devils host their rivals Sheffield Steelers at the Viola Arena, in a game they will look to get back to winning ways.
Venue: Viola Arena
Date: Sunday 3rd, February (6.00 PM)
It was last time the Devils played the Steelers that they picked up a win, they squeezed out a 3-2 victory after a superb slap shot ended the game from Gleason Fournier.
The Devils haven’t played fantastically away in two very drab performances, losing 2-1 to Nottingham Panthers and 3-1 to Manchester Storm. On the other hand, the Devils previous home games have gone superbly well winning their previous seven.
The Devils did have a decent size gap away from the Belfast Giants but the last two game have really cost them as both the Devils and the Giants have played 41 games and just the 3 points separate them.
The Steelers have a different battle all together. They are pushing to get into the Play Offs. They currently sit just inside the Play Offs but have played more games than the teams below them.
The Steelers have done well in recent games defeating the Guildford Flames both home and away with results of 3-2 and 2-1 respectively.
The Cardiff Devils will need to up their game from their last performance against the Steelers. Layne Ulmer assisted all three goals against Sheffield but is now suspended after an incident at the Nottingham Panthers game.
James Livingston, the Devils new player will need to hit the ground running with both Ulmer and Mosey now out. Can he be the player need to build a gap at the top?
Jackson Whistle, the Steelers goalie will have to be on top form as he knows the Devils will find a way to score against anyone.
