Three members of a group based in Barry Leisure Centre have qualified to represent Wales in the Dance World Cup, after winning a national competition, which took place in November in famous seaside resort Blackpool.
The event, beginning on Friday 26th June and going through to Saturday 4th July in Cinacittà World, Rome has over 12,000 children around the world aged from 4 to 25 trying to qualify for its' final which is held annually in a different location. Previous locations for the Dance World Cup include, Jersey, Sardinia, France and Austria.
Dance is one of the UK'S favourite entertainment activities with multiple hit TV shows such as "Dancing On Ice" and "Strictly Come Dancing" benefiting from our love of a good jig.
Sway Dance, the group responsible for the three welsh hopefuls who have qualified are so proud of their students and their dedicated dance teacher Nicola Hudson. They're also looking to find a sponsor for the Team Wales tracksuits and are appealing to local businesses to ask for their support to help the students participate in this worldwide competition.
