Cardiff City have announced the appointment of Neil Harris as the man to replace Neil Warnock as first team manager at the club. Harris is the former manager of Millwall, having lead them to the League 1 play off finals in his first year as boss and promotion to the Championship in his second. He also enjoyed a playing career, most notably for the aforementioned Millwall, where he is their record goalscorer.
Of his appointment, Cardiff City FC owner Vincent Tan Chee Yioun said; "I have full confidence in Neil due to his principles on and off the pitch and enthusiasm to succeed. I am glad to offer him this opportunity and look forward to seeing what he is capable of achieving with Cardiff City.”
The 42 year old has signed a contract that'll run until the summer of 2022. His first match in charge will be against Charlton Athletic on the 23rd of November.
