The Glamorgan History Walks are an award winning series of guided walks to places of historical interest across the ancient county of Glamorgan. This walk takes you on a voyage of historical discovery in Llancarfan.
In the Dark Ages, Llancarfan was one of the most important places in northern Europe. The monastery established there by St Cadoc is steeped in history and folklore. As is the Iron Age hill fort that watches over it. We also have the birth place of the controversial figure of Iolo Morgannwg and one of the earliest Norman castles in Glamorgan at Penmark.
