Barry Town Ladies have announced the second new signing of the summer for the Ladies First Team with the arrival of Amy Williams.
Amy is a talented young player having previously represented Villa Dino and Tredegar in junior football as well as being part of the Wales national setup at Under 15 & Under 17 level. She predominantly plays in wide areas as a winger but can also play centrally as a striker or attacking midfielder.
She is now looking forward to the challenge of stepping into senior football this season and her arrival at Jenner Park will add to the attacking options for manager Luke Williams as the squad prepare for the start of the new campaign.
Barry Town Ladies Manager Luke Williams said " Amy is a talented young player who with hard work could go a long way in the game. She has fantastic pace, is strong in 1v1 situations and has an eye for goal and we look forward to working with her ahead of the new season"
On joining the club Amy commented, “I am really excited to be joining Barry Town and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
Amy joins Lauren Harris as new arrivals ahead of the new season and manager Williams is pleased with his latest addition to his squad commenting, “Amy is a talented young player who with hard work could go a long way in the game. She has fantastic pace, is strong in 1v1 situations and has an eye for goal and we look forward to working with her ahead of the new season. Naturally, with her first season in ladies football she will need to adapt to the demands of the senior game but she is a good athlete and is physically strong for her age so I’m confident she can make a real impact for us this season.”
