The annual ban on dogs using some of the beaches across the Vale of Glamorgan will begin from Saturday 1st May.
The beach ban applies to Whitmore Bay on Barry Island, Pebbly Beach at the Cold Knap, Penarth Seafront, Dunraven Bay in Southerndown and Cwm Colhuw in Llantwit Major and is enforced annual from 1st May to 30th September.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is continuing to remind dog owners that it is their responsibility to pick up dog foul is public spaces.
Failing to pick up after your dog could result in a fixed penalty notice of £75 or prosecution, which could result in a fine of up to £1,000.
