Barry’s Art Central Gallery has been able to reopen its doors by appointment only from today (Monday 26th April) as it hosts the “Women’s Arts Association Wales” exhibition.
Access to the gallery is via the front doors of Barry County Library on Ty Newedd Road and visitors will be able to browse the artwork in the exhibition for a total of 25 minutes, with a one-household rule in place to ensure a reduced risk of Coronavirus transmission.
The Women’s Arts Association Wales have been holding shows of women’s art for more than 30 years, in celebration of International Women’s Day, which is on March 8th.
Unfortunately, the exhibition was unable to go ahead on its regular date this year due to Coronavirus restrictions, but it is now able to go ahead with appointments to visit available from Monday – Saturday.
Full Covid-19 precautions will be in place at the gallery, with face masks mandatory for the duration of visits, hand sanitiser available for use on the door and those who have any symptoms of Coronavirus asked to avoid visiting until it is safe for them to do so.
Appointment times are: from 10am to 1pm and 2pm – 4pm weekdays (Monday – Friday) and 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 3.30pm (Saturdays).
