Hydrofitness Ladies Gym has been randomly drawn as the winner of the 2021 Bro Radio Business Directory competition, scooping £2,000 worth of advertising on the station that loves the Vale.
Bro Radio launched its Business Directory in 2020 in an effort to support local business in the county. To celebrate the launch, the station ran a competition for all the businesses on the directory, where Langdon Osteopathy was randomly selected as the winner.
2021 brought continued difficulties for business in the Vale, so the station decided to re-run the competition, once again giving away £2,000 worth of advertising to one business on the directory.
On the 15th of February, Hydrofitness Ladies Gym was randomly chosen as the winner of the competition.
Hydrofitness Ladies Gym is a ladies-only gym in Barry, run by women for women who are committed to helping ladies to feel good about themselves on the inside and the outside.
The business, which has been operating its service since 2007, has continued to offer online classes and sessions during the last year of Coronavirus restrictions. Anna Prince, the Manager of Hydrofitness, detailed how the business has continued to operate through lockdown.
"We do stuff every day - I pay my personal fitness instructors to do stuff online and I do one on the main (Facebook) page which is free to everybody.
"We try to keep everyone engaged, which is hard - we've done lots of competitions and things to keep local businesses in the loop, so I might buy something from a local business to raffle off or to do a competition on Facebook with but yeah, we do something every day."
The Bro Radio Business Directory continues to be free to join for any local business in the Vale of Glamorgan and can be found here.
Hydrofitness Ladies Gym can be found on Facebook, here, where the business continues to run virtual training sessions.
