Christmas is just around the corner and soon Town Centres and Villages across the Vale of Glamorgan will begin switching on their Christmas lights.
The annual festive events in the County begin on Sunday 17th November with the Penarth Christmas Lights switch on, before Nessa Shanessa Jenkins (Ruth Jones) switches on Barry Town Centres Lights.
Sunday 17th November - Penarth Christmas Lights Switch On - Penarth Town Centre
Meet Santa and his reindeer and enjoy music, entertainment, food and drink stalls.
Santa will arrive with his redindeer at 1pm, with live music from The Scarletons, Curtis Lee, Evolution Dance, Salvation Army Band and the big Christmas Lights Switch on at 6:30pm.
Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd November - Barry Christmas Weekender - Barry Town Centre
Enjoy a two day festive market and don't miss Nessa Shanessa Jenkins (Ruth Jones from Gavin and Stacey) turning on the Christmas lights at 6pm on Saturday, alongside Nathan and Patrick from Bro Radio. There will be live music, entertainment and a chance to meet Santa, along with his elves on Saturday.
Enjoy 40+ stalls of crafts, gift ideas and food!
The switch on will be followed by free open air cinema showing of Home Alone in Central Park, with the Market open from 11am each day.
Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th - Cowbridge Christmas Weekend - Cowbridge Town Centre
Shop the three day Christmas market at the Duke of Wellington Car Park, as well as enjoying the annual Cowbridge Reindeer Parade on Sunday from 12pm.
Friday 29th - High Street Christmas Lights Switch On - High Street Shopping Quarter
Enjoy fun for all the family, whith live music, entertainment, Santa from 4pm - 8pm and at 7pm Andrew and Lee Selby will turn on the Christmas Lights alongside the Bro Radio team.
Saturday 30th November - Lighting up Llantwit Major - Across Llantwit Major Town Centre
Enjoy a Festive Market and music in the precinct, plus Santa and the Light Switch on at 6pm in Llantwit Major Town Hall.
A festive Lantern Parade will run from 5:15pm, with the event running from 12pm - 8pm.
Sunday 1st December - St Athan Christmas Light Switch On
Enjoy music from Psychedelic Monks, ATC Choir, St Athan School and many more hosted by Bro Radio from 3pm, with the lights switch on at 5pm by former Wales Lock Foward Gareth Llewellyn.
Following the switch on there will be a Christingle service in St Tathan Church at 5pm and live music in the Three Horseshoes from 5:30pm until late.
Saturday 7th December - Rhoose Christmas Lights Switch On - Stewart Road Community Centre
Enjoy a host of local gifts and gifts stalls inside Stewart Road Community Centre, with live music prior to the Lights Switch on outside the Hall by Bro Radio after 6pm.
