A dedicated staff member of Cadoxton Primary School is helping the year 6 pupils raise money to have a community defibrillator fitted near the Cadoxton Community Centre.
The pupils and staff member, Charlotte Preen, are hoping to save lives of people within the community and need a total of £1,445 to be able to set up the vital piece of potentially life-saving equipment.
Charlotte, who holds the cause particularly close to her heart, set herself a personal goal to raise £200 to put towards the fund by walking, running and scooting 100km over a 7 day period, beginning yesterday, Monday 26th October.
The dedicated staff member completed 9 miles on her first day and has already smashed her personal funding target, raising an impressive £725 at the time of writing. Miss Preen promised to dress up for her final day of the challenge should she surpass her funding goal and is open to suggestions and ideas.
