Cadw, the historic environment service of the Welsh Government, will be hosting "Open Doors" walk-and-talk tours of Barry's Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery on Sunday 5th September.
The tours will inform attendees of the history of the cemetery and the stories of those buried within its confines. Additionally, participants will learn more about the history of Barry itself and take in Merthyr Dyfan's chapel building. The cemetery is still in use today and contains the graves of many of Barry's most distinguished individuals.
Tea and coffee will also be available following the tours, served at either the chapel or the community centre.
Three events will be taking place on the day, with a limit of 30 people per tour. To find out more about the event, email Barry Town Council at firstname.lastname@example.org.
