The latest figures released by Public Health Wales show coronavirus cases in the Vale of Glamorgan have fallen over the latest 7 day reporting period.
The rolling figures, which run from 31st December 2020 to 6th January 2021 show 579 coronavirus cases have been reported, with 433.4 cases per 100,000 population.
The figure is a decrease 249.7 cases per 100,000 compared to the period between Christmas Eve and 30th December 2020, when a total of 683 cases were reported.
On Monday, Public Health Wales confirmed a total of 1,793 new coronavirus cases have been reported across Wales in the last 24 hour period, with 17 deaths. The 7 day case rate per 100,000
The Rhoose & St Athan and Gibbonsdown boundary areas have reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in the County, with 59 cases reported in each area between the 31st December 2020 and 6th January.
