Wales & West Utilities is to carry out essential gas pipe upgrade in Dinas Powys.
The will take place between 14 January – 14 February and aims to keep the gas flowing to heat homes and power businesses so local people are kept safe and warm for generations to come.
Working with the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Wales and West Utilities have agreed that throughout the work, four-way traffic lights will be in place on Highwalls Road, at its junction with The Square and Britway Court.
Adam Smith, Wales & West Utilities Programme Controller said: “We know working on roads like this is not ideal, but it is essential to make sure we keep the gas flowing to homes and businesses in the area, and to make sure the gas network is fit for the future.
"We’ll be working as safely and as quickly as possible to make sure the work is completed in a timely fashion, while keeping inconvenience to a minimum.
“Our engineers are following all hygiene and social distancing guidelines and we would respectfully ask that you keep a 2m distance if passing our work site."
