Vaughan Gething has today said the public shouldn’t expect a significant unlocking of Covid restrictions in Wales in the coming weeks, the health minister has said.
Speaking during the Welsh Government’s coronavirus briefing, Vaughan Gething said it would be up to the First Minister Mark Drakeford to announce on Friday the findings of the three-week review into coronavirus restrictions.
But he added: “No one should expect a significant unlocking of the current lockdown measures.”
He said while cases were dropping, there were still “quite high levels of coronavirus circulating” and that Wales’ NHS was “still under lots and lots of pressure”.
Mr Gething urged the public to “be patient and still do the right thing”.
