Llanerch Vineyard welcomed Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall this week, as it marked the 10th anniversary of the Davies family taking over the site.
During her visit, the Duchess met owner Ryan Davies and his family and took a tour of the vineyard's hotel and grounds, before meeting with staff and suppliers in its new onsite restaurant.
The Duchess planted a vine and enjoyed a glass of the vineyard's award-winning Cariad Blush during her visit, which was part of her and The Prince of Wales visit to South Wales.
Speaking following an unveiling of a plaque, HRH The Duchess of Cornwall congratulated owner Ryan Davies on his achievements saying "Can I congratulate you on the wonderful job you've done here, this incredible vineyard and I know you started knowing nothing about it at all, but you've learnt a hell of a lot in a short space of time"
"As president of Wines UK, I'm so proud to be part of wine growing in this country and I've been to quite a lot of vineyards and I think we are getting on to around 600 and I intend to visit them all, as I think we are getting it really right in this country and giving the French a run for their money"
"I've really loved my visit and I hope to come back again to try your restaurant"
During her visit the Duchess of Cornwall met with local suppliers from Miskin Eggs, Matt Fresh fruit and vegetables, Ty Tanglwyst Dairy, Welsh Coffee Co. and SubZero ice creams in the restaurant.
