The Vale of Glamorgan Council has released exciting images of the refurbishment work done at the Cosmeston Country Park play area, stating that they aim for it to be open to visitors for April 15th.
The Council shared the sneak-peak images on their social media pages, sharing the news that, though the work is a little behind schedule due to the inclement weather, they’re aiming for the park to be open to the public for the mid-April date.
Images of the park show a completely revamped space bedecked with wooden climbing frames in the form of castles, swings, slides, a roundabout and webs of ropes for climbing, all atop a soft, padded floor.
The new, Medieval theme and equipment in the park has been received well by residents who follow the Council on social media with one saying “It looks amazing the guys have worked very hard in all weathers and have done a fantastic job as well as being friendly and having a laugh and joke with my kids when they were asking them questions.”
In their statement on social media, the Council said:
“Cosmeston play area has had a complete refurb! We’re excited to be able to share a sneak peak of the works.
“Unfortunately, due to the poor weather, we’re a little behind schedule. However, we’re aiming to open the park to the public on April 15.
“Please bear with our super hardworking team as they complete the finishing touches. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming opening date.”
