It'll soon be time to recognise the hard work of volunteers across the County during volunteers week, from the 1st - 7th June.
Every year, there is a special week earmarked to thank volunteers for all that they bring to their local communities, and this year Volunteers’ Week feels more important than ever.
The national week runs from the 1 – 7 June and Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) are providing resources and ideas to help organisations that involve volunteers to say thank you.
GVS recognises that the organisations that typically join in with this campaign may be facing difficult times and that many volunteers may not be currently engaging in volunteering in the way they typically do.
With this in mind, GVS has created volunteer certificates for groups and organisations to download and say thank you for all the time and support their volunteers have given to their community, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or download directly from https://www.gvs.wales/news/2020/05/volweek2020
There is also a wealth of free downloadable resources for organisations to use here https://wcva.cymru/time-to-say-thank-you/
The volunteers that contributed before this crisis and the organisations that supported them along the way both deserve a big thank you.
Please join us as we say thank you. If you have stories / news you would like GVS to cover as part of our local social media coverage please let us know and use the #VolunteersWeek and #WythnosGwirfoddolwyr and we will keep an eye out for your content on social media.
