Llantwit Major garden vandals condemned

23rd November 2021

Volunteers in Llantwit Major have hit out at vandals who targeted a sensory garden.

Plants were ripped up and stolen from the CF61 community centre on Station Road last weekend - they had been planted just one week before.

The garden is looked after by Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) members based at the centre.

South Wales Police

Cath Haines, a GVS volunteer co-ordinator, said: ''We are absolutely disgusted and devastated. Our volunteers worked so hard and it looked amazing.''

PCSO Rhiannon Cummings from South Wales Police added: ''Local volunteers, including Vale Plus Extra, have worked tirelessly on the garden to make it a lovely place for all the community to enjoy.''

Anyone with information about the vandalism should contact police on 101, quoting reference no. 409944.
