Today (12th October) is Local Radio Day and here at Bro Radio we are continuing to celebrate the local community we serve.
Delivered by a team of local volunteers, Bro Radios team deliver over 120 hours of programmes from its studios in Barry and Llantwit Major each week.
The station also boasts the largest social media following of any media organisation based in the County, with over 30,000 readers accessing local news and information via its website every month.
Through its What's on Guide - the station promotes not for profit events of all sizes on air and via its website, covering everything from open days, community fundraisers and days out for all ages. Events can be submitted via http://broradio.fm/submit
Bro Radio is the only local media organisation to still have a newsroom and office in the County, with a team of 12 journalists, made up of local people and trainee journalism students - keeping listeners and readers up to date with what's going on in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Throughout the pandemic, Bro Radio's team have delivered 100's of news stories - with businesses, organisations and groups are invited to share their news, no matter how big or small via firstname.lastname@example.org or via @broradio on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Bro Radio is the local radio station, available on 98.1fm (Barry and Central Vale), 100.2fm (Llantwit Major and surrounding areas) and soon on 106.1fm (Penarth and Eastern Vale), as well as being available online, mobile and Smart Speakers.
