Man injured in Butetown stabbing

A 47 year-old man has been injured after a stabbing in the Butetown area of Cardiff.

Police say he was attacked on Hannah Street at just before 1.30am on Saturday morning (9th October).

The victim is receiving treatment for his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

Patrols have been stepped up around the area and detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the ''serious assualt'' to come forward.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: ''Knife crime has devastating consequences and tackling this is a priority for us.''
