Fans will get a chance to see the new Cymru shirt first-hand at the FAW’s match-worn kit exhibition – The Art of the Wales Shirt - at St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff, starting on Monday 11 November.
The new home shirt, using a colour palette inspired by the shield of Owain Glyndwr, the yellow, red and green striped cuffs references ‘The Red Wall’ motif and the adidas shoulder stripes now appear in yellow.
The new shirt, featuring the new Cymru national team badge, is on sale in shops and online from Monday morning before our national teams wear the new kit for the first time next week.
The shirt will be on display for the duration of the exhibition, from Monday 11 November to Sunday 24 November, open daily between 10:00 -17:00 with admission free to all.
As well as seeing Cymru’s new shirt for the first time, visitors will be able to see up-close a selection of Cymru’s most iconic shirts worn by the likes of Terry Yorath, Ian Rush, Gareth Bale and both current managers, Ryan Giggs and Jayne Ludlow, and learn about the history of the national sides over the decades.
The new shirt can be purchased exclusively through retail partners JD Sports.
