A new defibrillator has been unveiled at Boots on Holton Road in Barry.
On Tuesday 3rd September staff from the store were joined by local Assembly Member Jane Hutt, along with Bryan Foley from Barry First Responders.
The new defibrillator, which was supported by Barry First Responders and the Welsh Ambulance Trust, has been funded by staff within the store, with donations from shoppers and the wider community.
Vale AM Jane Hutt AM said: “It was wonderful to meet the staff at Boots and hear about the hard work they’ve put in to secure the defibrillator, particularly the support of Holly Fudge who led the fundraising efforts. The defibrillator is a great addition to Holton Road and is an asset for our community. It was great to be part of the ceremony with the ‘handing over’ of a new defibrillator by Bryan Foley of Barry First Responders on behalf of the Welsh Ambulance Trust”
