BY: Nathan Spackman

Detectives in Penarth are appealing for information after a homeowner chased three people from his property, before later finding he’d been burgled.

The elderly victim reported three people – described as white males aged between mid-teen to early 20s – entering his home on Beechwood Drive as he sat in his lounge sometime between 10pm and 10.30pm on Thursday, May 7.

He chased them from his home and saw them run on to Dinas Road and left in to St Lukes Avenue, before he lost sight of them.

He later discovered the trio had forced entry to the property and stolen a large amount of cash and three watches.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence, or who has any information which could assist the investigation.
