RNLI Lifeguards On Patrol At Barry Island This Weekend

The RNLI has confirmed that their lifeguards will be in place and on patrol at Whitmore Bay over the Easter weekend.

The lifeguards will be on the beach from 10am – 6pm from Friday through to Sunday as the weather in the county is set to remain pleasant.

Due to recent relaxations in coronavirus restrictions, people from across Wales will be able to visit the famous Barry Island over the festive period, with the location playing host to hundreds over recent days as people flocked to Whitmore Bay to make the most of the warm weather.

In addition to their presence, the RNLI has a list of advice and tips as to how to stay safe on the beach available on their website which includes advice on staying safe in the sun and being aware of all of the various flags and signs in place.

You can find the full list of advice and tips on beach safety from the RNLI on their website, here.
