The pub chain Brains has released a list of 40 of its pubs across Wales that will reopen to customers in August - with four in the Vale returning.
The four Vale based Brains pubs reopening are the Master Mariner and Cwm Talwg in Barry, the Star Inn in Dinas Powys and the Watermill in Ogmore-By-Sea.
The chain's remaining pubs will then open in a phased approach over the following weeks.
On Monday, pubs, restaurants and cafes were allowed to open outdoors, but Brains chose not to reopen any of its pubs, instead waiting for the go ahead to open indoors.
First Minister Mark Drakeford said last week, "I want to send a clear signal that, provided the reopening of outdoor hospitality goes well, and the state of the virus allows indoor opening for pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants will resume from August 3."
Speaking on the Vale This Week last Wednesday, the General Manager of The Master Mariner, Jeremy Davies, said his customers were looking forward to returning, and mentioned some of the measures they're likely to see when they return.
"I'm fairly sure from my Facebook page and the comments, that they are very keen to come back and have a real pint again.
"But the world has changed, so we as a company have developed a brand new app in about 12 weeks, it's called 'Brains Pubs' and from there you can book your table in advance within time slots.
"We're trying to get people not to spend any cash at all, we would rather everyone pay through the app or by card, just like you would when using JustEat for instance.
"Safety is paramount, so there'll be one-way systems in and out, we've mapped out exactly what we need to do internally, but yes I can't wait to open my doors and get customers back in."
