GVS has announced a funding opportunity for voluntary organisations which work with older people in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Third Sector Preventative Interventions Fund opened for applications on 23rd June 2020.
This revenue-only Fund aims to support proposals which respond to the Covid-19 crisis and improve health, wellbeing and independence. The overall aim is for older people to remain living in, and engaging with, their communities for as long as they wish.
A spokesperson said "We are looking to support proposals for new, additional or revised delivery of services which respond to a need or a particular problem and maximise the impact of preventative services. For example, you may wish to set up an online self-help support group or forum, a new online exercise class, carer support, shopping support, or a community telephone befriending service."
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday, 17th July 2020.
The Fund is provided via the Welsh Government Integrated Care Fund 2020 and administered by Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) in liaison with the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
