Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and Velindre Cancer Centre are challenging children across the area to take up the mantle and enter its bespoke Minecraft world to design the new Velindre Cancer Centre and its surroundings.
The primary and secondary schools getting involved will receive an interactive and educational workbook for students that sits alongside the Minecraft world. The workbook will include information about biodiversity, community and eco-buildings.
This bespoke Minecraft world encompassing the site for the new Velindre Cancer Centre has been built by Cardiff University’s School of Computer Science and Informatics TechnoCamp hub and its STEM ambassadors.
School wishing to enter can do so via https://velindre.nhs.wales/ with entries closing at 5pm on the 11th June 2021.
