Vale Council enforcement investigating 24 active fly tipping incidents

The Vale of Glamorgan Council's Enforcement officers are currently investigating 24 active cases of flytipping around the Vale.

In a tweet, the Uniformed Enforcement Service said the cases "appear to involve rogue waste carriers. Not only are those carriers breaking the law, but so are those householders that pay them to dispose of their waste."

There were 35,424 fly-tipping incidents in Wales last year. Fly-tipping Action Wales is calling on the public to help prevent fly-tipping by being aware of illegitimate waste operators and by understanding their waste duty of care.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council offers a bulky item collection service, costing £20 per 3 items, with additional items charges at £5 each, up to a maximum of 5 items.
