The Vale of Glamorgan's "Freelancer Cultural Recovery Fund Grant" will be open for applications from Monday 5th October.
The £2,500 grant, issued by the Vale of Glamorgan Council on behalf of the Welsh Government, will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis, with a total fund of £317,500 is available.
The fund aims to support as many freelancers in the cultural sector who have been unable to work due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic as possible, specifically those who work in the Arts, Events, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage sectors.
To apply you will need to provide evidence of how Covid-19 has affected your income as a freelancer, due to the cancellation of existing or future work, alongside other information.
Cllr Kathryn McCaffer Cabinet Member for Arts and Culture said:
"The Vale of Glamorgan Council is really pleased that we are continuing to step in and support the Welsh Government in allocating this much-needed funding, to cultural freelancers, who have lost so much, as a result of the pandemic."
You will be able to find out more about this grant and other financial support available on the Vale Council website, here.
