Virgin Media to launch 5G in parts of the Vale

The mobile operator Virgin Media is set to launch a 5G across the UK, with Penarth, Dinas Powys and Cardiff included in its plans.

The communications company is set to launch the service across 100 town and cities across the United Kingdom, including in South Wales.

The high-speed network will provide 5G compatible smartphone’s data speeds around 100Mbps faster than the average home broadband speed, and around 4.5 times faster than 4G.

The good news is that Virgin Media customers will be able to access its new 5G service on a range of plans, including SIM only and pay monthly, for no additional costs.
