More than £5,000 has been raised for a Barry family following a house fire.
It took more than three hours for crews to put out the fire in the Waterfront area on Sunday evening.
A spokesperson for Eto, a children's shop on Holton Road, said the family - including three boys - had "lost many of their possessions" as a result, adding: "As a community, we have the chance to come together and help them through this difficult time."
The shop says it's collecting donations to support the family, who will be able to choose the items they need - with any extra donations being shared with "other community members in need".
Meanwhile, an online fundraiser in aid of the family has so far raised £5,140 as of Monday afternoon, breaking its initial target.
Sarah Harris, who organised the GoFundMe page, said: "Last night, my amazing neighbours lost everything in a house fire. It’s a horrendous thing to happen at any time but with less than two weeks until Christmas it’s even worse."
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service told Bro Radio News they were called to "reports of a domestic fire" at around 5.35pm on Sunday evening.
A SWFRS spokesperson added: "Crews and appliances from Barry, Penarth and Ely attended the scene and tackled the fire using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one safety jet."
Crews at the scene receieved a stop message at 8.50pm.
Reacting to the appeal, Vale MP Kanishka Narayan said: "I am just so shocked and saddened to hear news of the fire that such caused such devastation for our neighbours in the Waterfront."
"It is no surprise to see how our community is coming together to help in this hour of need...if you can, please consider supporting the affected family...I know we will all be thinking of them over Christmas."
