A woman has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of four paddleboarders in Pembrokeshire.
Andrea Powell from Bridgend died in hospital a week after a group of paddleboarders became trapped in a weir on the River Cleddau in Haverfordwest.
Paul O'Dwyer from Pontardulais, Morgan Rogers from Cefn Coed and Nicola Wheatley from Sandfields were killed in the incident in October 2021, while four others survived.
Nerys Lloyd (39), who owned a paddleboarding tour company, was charged in October with four counts of gross negligence manslaughter and a further offence under the Health and Safety Act.
Haverfordwest Magistrates Court deemed the charges were too serious to be dealt with and referred the case to Swansea Crown Court.
Lloyd (39), an ex-police officer from Port Talbot, was released on unconditional bail until Friday 3rd January.
