The Andy Legg era at Barry Town United began with a 3-1 win over Flint Town United in the Cymru Premier.
Less than 24 hours after being unveiled as their new head coach, Legg picked up from where Steve Jenkins left off - with the hosts retaining their seven-point lead at the top of the Play Off Conference.
Barry - unchanged from last weekend's win over Aberystwyth - couldn't have asked for a better start to their first home game since the league split.
Just three minutes in, some fine team build-up play saw Barry cut through the visiting defence clinically, with Ollie Hulbert setting up Keenan Patten to finish with his left foot past Jack Flint.
The Silkmen - who had lost their last six games before visiting Jenner Park - pressed hard to counter with Barry keeper Liam Armstrong denying Elliot Reeves and a looping header from Joshua Jones.
Ryan Kavanagh went close to doubling the hosts' lead from Patten's cross, only to blaze his final touch over the crossbar.
But Flint found a way back in unfortunate circumstances on 24 minutes, when Armstrong managed to tip the ball into the net from a long throw-in by Jake Phillips.
Barry retook the lead soon after the half-hour when Will Richards' header from a Robbie Willmott corner struck the bar, before Callum Sainty tapped in the rebound.
But the Town kept pushing for more - with Ollie Hulbert blasting over the bar, while after the break, Ryan Kavanagh's effort from the right hand side of the box was narrowly wide.
Sainty also struck high over the posts from another Willmott corner, but with Barry dominating proceedings, that elusive third goal came on 72 minutes as Evan Press broke down the left flank, teeing up Patten to score his brace.
Josh Jones went close to adding a second for the Silkmen in the closing stages, but saw his volley go wide as Barry held out for back-to-back wins in Phase Two.
Next up is a trip to Latham Park to face relegation candidates Newtown next Saturday.
