Llantwit beaten by Daley double

Llantwit Major began 2025 with a 2-0 defeat at home to Carmarthen Town in the Cymru South.

The Windmill Lane ground survived the wintry weather - but Ben Stait's side find themselves without a win from their last five league outings.

Llantwit fell behind after just six minutes when the in-form Noah Daley struck from the penalty spot past keeper Jack Lansdown.

Coach Baz Whitelam was sent to the stands before Daley found the net again on 75 minutes with his eighth goal in four games to round off a fourth straight win for Mark Aizlewood's Old Gold.

Major drop to tenth in the table as attention turns to Friday night's clash with title challengers Llanelli Town.
